Annual Pop In Fun Day.
On Saturday 18th of February, we hosted our annual Pop In fun morning in Abbeystrewery hall. Teas and coffees were served and scrumptious baking was enjoyed. We had a magnificent Raffle with wonderful prizes which were all donated by the supportive parents and business of Skibbereen. The atmosphere was one of warmth and relaxation. Thanks a million to everyone who helped and contributed in any way. We raised €1375 for our school.
Fundraising for our Special Needs Class
Christmas is a time of giving and that is just what happened this year. Three wonderful fundraising events were held in aid of our Special Needs Class. A grand total of €2000 was raised for Rang Naomh Eoin our Special Needs Class.
Santa in Trag.
Santa came to Tragumna before Christmas. This event raised €1000 for the Special Needs Class in St Joseph’s GNS. These funds were raised by the McCarthy family. The McCarthy family would like to thank The Skibbereen Eagle for hosting the event. They would like to thank everyone who donated spot prizes, who brought their children to the event and who donated so generously on the day. A special thanks must go to Santa and his wonderful Elf!!
St Joseph’s GNS wish to thank the McCarthy family for organising this event. €1000 will go towards supporting the children of our Special Needs Class.
Johnstown Heritage Committee.
Last October the Johnstown Heritage Committee raised money for charities in their locality. They included St Joseph’s GNS Special Class again this year as a worthy recipient and donated €600 to support the class. St Josephs would like to thank everyone involved in the event. A special thanks to Anne O’Sullivan.
